Our friend John took a few days leave (he's a Marine based somewhere else in the States that I cannot remember for the life of me) for a wedding, and came home. We offered to host a little get together so that he could see his close friends in one place - and not have to try and get together with a bunch of people at different times during one weekend. So I got to play hostess again, and I loved every minute! I actually cooked things ahead of time and the kitchen was clean by the time guests arrived. Clean! Can you believe it? I am going to get better at doing this for every gathering. Anywho, I made some good snacks like PWs Mushrooms Stuffed with Brie & Peanut Butter Brownies (love Betty Crocker boxed brownies). I also made the Austrian favorite, Gluehwein, and got everyone hooked (D & Linds, I still owe you that recipe)! Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures. But I am hosting a Betty Crocker Cookie Exchange this weekend, and I will be making some of the same things, so I will remember to take pictures! Anywho, pictures of the party, that's all you really want anyways, right?
